Great God Pig

Great God Pig

This was taken in 2004 during a rare festival honoring ghosts who do not have relatives to care for them. The thinking is these ghosts do not have relatives to provide them with food and money in the after life so the community honors them once every 20 years or so (I can't remember the exact number). The sign in front of this pig read, "Great God Pig" weight 1290 pounds, the farmers name who rose the pig and won the 6000 Taiwan dollar reward for largest pig. It was quite the pig (that is a full size pineapple in its mouth)!!

Photo Location: Fengyuan, Fengyuan, Taiwan
Capture Date: December 9, 2004 15:41:20
Camera: Canon Powershot S230
Photo Processing Software used: Adobe Lightroom; Nik Color Efex Pro; Nik Define;

Feel free to download this large full resolution version of Great God Pig for personal use. For commercial use, please contact us for pricing.
