Another photo from the same morning this photo was taken is by far my most popular photo with many thousands of views and shares on the various sites. This one was taken only 10 minutes later, the red sunset had changed to orange but is still pretty striking.

Sasquatch Park Reflections

Sasquatch provincial park is near Harrison lake. A great place to relax and chill by the lake. I hope to get out there for a weekend camping this summer.

One Mile Lake Boardwalk

The ice on one mile lake near Pemberton was just melting when I visited. In about a month it will be a great place for a swim to get away from the hot summer sun.

View of Lijiang old town

Many small bars line the hill in Lijiang old town. Each offers a great view of the historic rooftops while offering hot tea or cold beer, we went with a cold beer.

Harrison Lake From Sasquatch Provincial Park

I just got back from a great weekend at Harrison Hot Springs. The town is nice and the hot springs were fun. Next time I go back will be in the summer and I plan to camp at Sasquatch Provincial Park. This photo is from the day use area of the park.

The Squamish river was low when we were there but this log has obviously been uprooted when the river was much higher.

Winter Flowers

Unlike most of Canada, many plants in along the British Columbia coast don't need to go into hibernation mode during the winter. This plant was flowering on Christmas eve while most Canadian plants have been in the cold for a good couple of months.

Vancouver Clouds

One nice thing about Vancouver is that it doesn't get too cold in winter compared to most of Canada. However, that doesn't mean everyday is like summer, we don't see the sun that much over the winter months, if we are lucky it looks like this. Taken the day after new years.
