Mini Waterfall

Mini Waterfall

Saw this mini waterfall when doing the Eagle Bluffs Hike up at Cypress mountain this past August. Had some fun snow shoeing in the mountains this winter but looking forward to when the snow melts so I can get back out hiking. Also planning on taking the family on some camping trips this summer, should be a good time ...

Silhouette Stairs

Silhouette Stairs

Woke up early on boxing day and headed down to the beach in South Victoria to try out my new tripod I got for Christmas and this was one of my favorite shots from the morning. I got lucky this lady was out for her morning walk just as the sun came over the stairs because there were many others out that morning.

Drift Log

Drift Log

This log has obviously been drifting for a while before it washed up on this stone beach in Juan de Fuca Provincial Park. It was the color that stood out from the rest of the beach and caught my eye.

Stone Stairs To Nowhere

Stone Stairs To Nowhere

Was checking out the view of the falls at Sooke Potholes Provincial Park when I noticed a fenced in foundation of an abandoned building. All that remained of the old building was the stone walls and stairs. These stairs seemed to go to nowhere along a cliff that lead down to the river below.

Cowichan Bay Wooden Boat Museum

Cowichan Bay Wooden Boat Museum

Cowichan bay is a "slow food" area, which I found out means that all of their food is locally grown. I had fish and chips when we were there and it was great, they had lots of different restaurants selling other local favourites.
