I have been trying to find a good place to get a good photo of Maple Ridge from the mountains for a couple of weeks and finally found it this weekend. I went out around sunrise on a cool misty morning to get this shot of the trees breaking through the mist. Great location to take photos and not to far from my home. Sure to be many more photos to come from this spot.
While I was taking this photo the sun was rising behind me giving the trees a slightly golden look.
We do not get many days clear enough for good sunset photos in the winter but when we get a good day the colors are amazing and clear with the cold winter air.
