I was camping this past weekend far away from any city lights. The stars were amazing. When I looked up while sitting at the camp fire this is what I saw. The trees are lit by the campfire which is what gives them the orange color.
The place where I took this photo had no electricity, no running water, no cell reception, no nothing. Made me think of those before us who had a much quieter time under the stars.
I had to get a ways out of the city to get this photo of the milky way. It is a four hour drive from Maple Ridge to Roche Lake park, worth every minute of the drive!
