This is Battleship lake in Strathcona park, great little day hike from Mount Washington ski resort.
When snowshoeing, you always want fresh snow but it is great when it is sunny as well. We had the best of both worlds on a hike to Battleship lake in Strathcona Park, it had dumped a lot of snow a couple of days before but was beautifully sunny the day we did the hike.
One of my favorite places to snowshoe is Strathcona Park at Mount Washington. We were lucky to get great weather when we when there this year, amazing amount of fresh untouched snow to explore.
