One morning my two week old daughter had me awake at 4:00 am and as she fell asleep around 5:30 I noticed it was going to be a pretty good sunrise so I headed down to this old pier to take some photos. This one is as the sun was just rising over the coastal mountains around 6:00 am.
This heron raised his head to get a better look at me just as I snapped the photo of it in front of a large water drain with Stanley park in the background.
It won't be long now before summer comes along and the summer activities start in Burrard inlet. I took this photo one weekend afternoon last summer when the inlet was full of sail boats and paddle boarders.
