From lighthouse park in West Vancouver the down town skyline is pretty small compared to the rocky cliffs along he shore.
I was taking some photos down by the waterside of Galiano Island when I decided to turn around and noticed this guy looking at me, I snapped a couple of shots before it decided I was paying too much attention and wandered off.
During the winter in Vancouver the sun rises more from the south. On a good day the sunrise colors the local mountains to the north with a nice glow. Unfortunately, there aren't that many "good" days during the winter because the clouds normally obscure the view of the mountains. I was lucky to be up one morning when it was clear enough to get a good sunrise.
