I was a bit late getting out to the trail and the sun was already setting. I am not used to the shorter days yet. I quickly grabbed a couple of photos before it set.
I do not usually do square cropped photos but this was a rare case where the square version looked better. The rays breaking through the clouds only lasted a couple of minutes so glad I caught this photo.
Before Whistler was known for its mountains, Alta lake was the main attraction for fishing and a weekend getaway. These days Whistler and Blackcomb get all the attention but Alta Lake is a still an amazing place to visit in the summer.
