Not sure if anyone ever actually used this for shelter but found this well built log hut along the shore of Lillooet Lake.

Mountain Farmers

While every flat inch of Whister is packed with hotels and tourist haunts. Pemberton which is just a 30 minute drive north has lots of farms and ranches sitting at the foot of the same types of amazing mountains.

One Morning on One Mile Lake

I just took an extra day off work to head up to Pemberton and Whistler last weekend. It rained in the valley the first to days, which wasn't too bad because it was snowing up in the mountains. But on the last day we got some sunshine. I was up early enough to catch the the sun rising over the mountains behind one mile lake on the outskirts of Pemberton.

Mountain Clouds

Everytime I go to Pemberton I am always impressed by how the clouds move across the mountains, always so beautiful. Not sure if it is always like that or if I am just lucky with the weather each time I visit, but makes for a great set of photos.

Mount Currie Reflect

Mount Currie towers over the town of Pemberton just north of Whistler. This photo was taken from the edge of the pemberton golf course.

One Mile Lake Boardwalk

The ice on one mile lake near Pemberton was just melting when I visited. In about a month it will be a great place for a swim to get away from the hot summer sun.

Lower Joffre Lake

When we visiting lower Joffre lake in May, the ice and snow was still lingering around despite recent warmer temperatures. An amazing little lake and park just a short drive from Pemberton.

This was a rare case where I prefered the black and white version of one of my photos to the color. This is Joffre lake just as the last of the ice is melting off the lake.

Relaxing Weekend

This past long weekend I went up and camped at Nairn Falls, near Pemberton British Columbia. This is me relaxing by the flowing water one night after the kids went to bed.
