Hungry Bear Totem

Along the trails in Pacific Rim National Park are a number of totem poles. This bear was my favorite, feels like he is looking right at me while having dinner.

Beach walk

We spent 2 hours just walking down this beach and didnt see another sole. But someone was here for a walk earlier with mans best friend. Tofino is an amazing place.

Natures Garbage

The beaches of Tofino are littered with logs and other natural refuge from the sea but no man-made garbage. They must clean it up fairly regularly because it is difficult to find a beach anywhere without at least some garbage washing up with the tides.

Tofino Chairs

This was the view from the front deck of the cottage I stayed at in Tofino this past weekend. Before you get too jealous, it rained most of the weekend so we didn't get a chance to use these chairs. However, it cleared up the last day right before we left and I got this photo.

Frank Island Tofino

This is Frank Island which is across from Chesterman beach in Tofino. There are a couple of cottages on the Island, you can see one hidden behind the trees. The thing is, you can only walk out to the Island during low tide. Not exactly convenient but still a beautiful location.

Artistic Tofino

I got a bit wet taking this photo so had to post it. As the wave came up it moved my tripod adding a bit of blur to the photo. Thats what gives it the artistic look.
