Colourful Fall Morning

Clear fall morning at Spectacle lake, a beautiful place when the leaves are changing.

Rock Lake in Fall

The highlight of Booth Rock trail is the view of Rock Lake from the lookout. The view is even more spectagular in fall as the trees change color, I was lucky to do this hike just when the leaves were changing.

Transforming View

This is the view from the lookat at the top of the booth rock trail, great place to visit in the fall, it was a cool day and the clouds cooperated to make a good photo.

Falltime in Algonquin

Algonquin park is a pretty cool place any time of year but the scenery is more impressive on the fall. I took my wife to check it out last fall because where she is from they don't get many changing leaves.

Fall Waterfall

Found this little waterfall near Algonquin park. The river shore was lined with leaves changing colours and a couple of cool little waterfalls like this one.

Shoreside Leaves

The leaves near this creek were wet from the rain the night before which also made them creek swell for this photo.

Streaky Water

The streaks in the water are the fall leaves and bubbles quickly rushing by in this fast moving creek. There was no shortage of leaves falling in the creek as you can see with the piles on the shore top left.

Fall Dock

This dock probably sees a lot of traffic each summer but it was pretty quit on the cool fall morning when I took this photo.

Wilderness Clouds

From the top of the Dorset lookout tower, one road and a couple of houses are visible but most directions are wilderness except for the cottages that line all the lakes.

Lagar Harlo's Corner View

The Dorset Lookout Tower is covered in graffiti which kind of adds to the charm. Lagar and Harlo seemed to have gotten here before me, hope they enjoyed the view as much as I did.

Snake Eyes

Saw this little guy in the leaves while at the Muskoka Wildlife Center. My wife Junli was feeding the baby a couple of meters behind me, she hates snakes so I told he I was taking photos of some cool looking leaves. I didn't tell her there was a snake in the leaves till we were safely back in the car.

Trestle Reflection

This train trestle in my hometown of St. Marys Ontario was converted to a walkway a couple of years back. I guess we were ahead of our time, because we used to use it to cross the river many years before anyone ever thought to turn it into a walkway.

Niagara Falls Fireworks

Happy Canada Day! I took this photo last weekend at Niagara falls one of Canadas most famous natural landmarks.

It is amazing how they light up Niagara falls at night. The main falls are behind me but it is nice how they light up the smaller falls across the river on the American side.

Niagara Falls Colors

When it gets dark Niagara falls are lit up by lights from across the river. It took some timing but I caught three colors in this photo.

Niagara Falls Super Moon

When I was at Niagara falls I did not realize it was a super moon but it was a bit bigger and more impressive than normal, still not as impressive as the massive falls.

We were lucky to see a double rainbow when we visited Niagara falls a couple of weeks ago.

The elevated road in this photo is the Gardiner expressway, looked nice early in the morning but not nearly as nice when I was stuck in a traffic on it the next day.
