St. Lawrence View
View of the St. Lawrence river from Bic Park in Quebec.
Oceanside Dual Campfires
It was not easy to get to the Ile Nue de Mingan of the coast of Quebec but when we got there we had one of the two fires lit on the Island that night.
Mingan Archipelago National Park Beach
The best decision I made when planning my trip to Montreal was to visit Mingan Archipelago National Park. It was worth the extra 16 hours in the car. The park is a group of Islands off the far east coast of Quebec. This beach was our launch point to explore the Islands.
Notre-Dame Basilica fleur-de-lis
I woke up early one morning in Montreal to get some photos of the Notre-Dame Basillica without a grove of tourists in front of it. Spent over an hour there by myself taking photos on a beautifully peaceful morning. You can see the orange rays of sunrise lighting up the wall of the right side tower.
Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal
This past summer I visiting Montreal. The most photographed site of a very photographic city was the Notre-Dame Basilica.
Oh Dear
Caught this dear staring at me when visiting Parc Omega in Quebec.
Puffin Perch
Saw this puffin up on a rock and managed to get a quick photo before it went back to look for more fish.
Oceanside Campfire
Mingan Archipelago national park was the highlight of our trip to Quebec. We stayed one night on Nue de Mingan Island in the park. The Island was about a 20 minute boat ride from the mainland. This is me and Junli relaxing by an oceanside campfire while the kids sleep in the tent behind us.
Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac
My second morning in Quebec city I woke up to go take photos at sunrise but it was raining. I was already up so I headed into Quebec city old town hoping the rain would slow and the sun would peek through. The rain didn't stop but I managed to get a couple of photos using my umbrella to stop the rain drops from hitting the camera lens.
g
Old Quebec city from the hill behind the Citadelle. I had been to this location the day before with the family during the day and had to come back at sunset to get this shot. However, the clouds hid the colors of the sunset so I waited around for another hour to catch the city lights just before the sky went dark for the night.
Eglise Notre Dame Des Victoires
This isn't the biggest church we saw on our trip to Quebec but it is the oldest at over 350 years old! Really gives Old Quebec that historic feel.
Cannon Sunrise
This cannon guards the touristy area of old Quebec city. I got really lucky with a nice sunrise the first morning I was there.
Taking Milky Way Photos
I had two cameras with me when I was taking Milky Way photos in La Mauricie park so decided to take on of me in the frame as well.
Quebec Milky Way
Had a good view of the Milky way from La Mauricie National Park. We were a ways into the park but you can still see the yellow glow of civilization lights in the distance.
Basilique Notre Dame De Montreal
There are a lot of great buildings in Montreal but Basilique Notre Dame is the most impressive. I wanted to get a photo with me in it but I am tiny compared to the amazing building. Did you even notice me in the bottom right?
Bonsecours Market
The building on the left is Bonsecours Market or Marche Bonsecours in French. It is one of Canada's top ten heritage buildings and has been around since 1847.
Nelsons Column
The center of the photo is Nelsons column. Built in 1809 it is the second old column in the world!
