About this Green Point Campground wall art
Summer mornings at Green Point Campground often start in fog. It drifts in off Long Beach overnight and settles among the cedar and hemlock, so the first hour of the day is grey and dripping. Then the sun climbs high enough to find the gaps between the trunks and the whole forest fills with beams.
Weather surprises you in Tofino. We woke to thick fog at the campsite in August 2019 and I started breakfast in the gloom, expecting nothing from the light. Then the sun began to come through the trees behind our site. I put the pan down, grabbed the camera and turned it on end to get the tops of the trees and the mossy roots at my feet into the same frame.
A tall frame suits a narrow wall, the gap beside a door or the end of a hallway. This Tofino foggy forest wall art is the vertical companion to the wide frame from the same breakfast, and as Vancouver Island foggy forest wall art it brings the wet-cedar morning indoors without the damp sleeping bag.

About This Spot
This frame was made standing in our campsite at Green Point Campground, the Parks Canada campground in the rainforest above Long Beach, roughly midway between Tofino and Ucluelet on Highway 4. No trail is needed, the trees in the picture are the ones behind the tent pads, though the campground is reservation-only, open roughly spring to mid-October, and a park pass is required. Fog on a summer morning is the thing to hope for, and the beams only last while the sun is still low in the trees, so have the camera out at breakfast.

About the Prints
The print is on 230gsm archival matte paper, matted with a two-inch Peterboro white core mat, and finished in a thin black wood frame. The most traditional of the three finishes, and the one that suits almost any room.
The image is dye-sublimated into the coating of a ChromaLuxe aluminum panel, not printed on top. That's what gives a metal print its depth, its luminescence, and its longevity. Comes ready to hang on a hidden mount that floats it half an inch off the wall.
The image is face-mounted behind a 1/8-inch optically pure acrylic panel. The thickness adds depth, giving the print a slight glass-like quality where the image seems to sit just behind the surface. Polished edges, with a hidden mount on the back that floats the print half an inch off the wall.
No customs fees on cross-border orders.
