Comox Valley
The Comox Valley is the part of Vancouver Island I live in and photograph most often. The work in this gallery comes from the beaches at Goose Spit and Kye Bay, the marina at Comox Harbour, and the trails and rivers further inland. The frames are mostly from weekday mornings, when the trails are quiet. After eight years here, I'm still finding new angles.

Vancouver Island is where I live, and the place I have spent the most years photographing. This gallery is the Island beyond my own valley: the lakes and logging roads of the north, the boardwalk towns on the inside passage, the surf coast, and the sunsets that arrive most evenings whether or not anyone is watching. New work joins it as the archive is printed.

Tofino & Ucluelet
Tofino, Ucluelet and the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve between them are the open-ocean side of Vancouver Island, three hours west of where I live. I have been coming here my whole life, and every trip ends the same way, down at the water at sunset. The work in this gallery is those evenings: Long Beach, Florencia Bay and the headland trail at Ucluelet. New work joins it as the archive is printed.

Souvenir Pixels is my catalogue of Vancouver Island wall art and fine art photography prints. I'm James Wheeler, a Canadian travel photographer based in the Comox Valley, with a 15-year archive of work from across British Columbia.
The Vancouver Island wall art catalogue comes from across the Island and the BC coast: Tofino on the west, the Comox Glacier from the east-side beaches at home, the harbours of the Comox Valley, and quieter places like Goose Spit, Kin Beach, Kye Bay, Nymph Falls, and Seal Bay.
Prints come in several finishes and sizes, all shipped from a Canadian printer with separate USA fulfillment to keep tariffs out of the equation. The catalogue grows as the season allows, with travel work from further afield to come later.
