About this Long Beach wall art
Long Beach faces the open Pacific, and on the right July evening the cloud does most of the work. The high cloud goes pink and purple first, the low band along the horizon turns orange, and the wet sand at the tideline gives all of it back. Three people walking the edge of the wash are the only hard edges in the frame.
The second of July 2021 was our second clear evening in a row at Green Point, and this time there was cloud to catch the colour. I had been on the sand since the sun touched the treeline, watching the sky go from pink to red, when these three walked into the gap beneath the clouds and gave the beach its scale.
On a wall it reads as the walk you would take if you were there. This Long Beach Tofino wall art keeps the whole sweep of that Tofino sunset, a photo print for a living room or a beach house where the evening can go on a while.

About This Spot
This frame was made at the tideline near the Green Point beach access, about midway along Long Beach in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, looking northwest up the beach toward Tofino with the treeline on the right. Green Point is about 15 minutes south of Tofino on Highway 4, with day-use parking at the campground and a Parks Canada park pass required. In early July the sun sets over the far headland rather than out to sea, and the colour in the cloud keeps building for a while after it has gone.
