The Fisherman's Wharf Boardwalk runs out from Comox Harbour with a long wood railing along its edge. Walk it during the day and you get the boats, the mountains across the water, and a stroll worth the trip. Stand at the right end of it on a December morning and you get the sun coming up over Goose Spit in the distance.
I taking photos at the wharf one December morning when the sunrise was lining up behind the spit. Walked the boardwalk a few hundred steps, set the camera low to use the railing as a leading line, and let the long winter sky do most of the work.

About This Spot
This Fisherman's Wharf Boardwalk print was made from the wooden walkway on the south side of the Comox Marina, a short stroll from the wharf parking lot. The boardwalk runs east toward Goose Spit, and on a clear December morning the sunrise lines up just over the spit at the far end of the rail.
